5 photos

ever since i saw on mara's blog her "5 photos she feels beautiful in" post (like, ten years ago...wow, i'm awesome!), i thought i'd do the same over here. my self esteem is not always great, so it was nice to take a moment and skim through some pictures of myself and find the ones i feel beautiful in. i encourage everyone to do this! these are in no particular order.

first up, we have a very old photo of the VLO and me, back in like 2007? 2008 possibly? this was on vince's birthday. i'd thrown him a huge party and this was at the end of the night. we were both exhausted (we'd gone to 7peaks that day and then had the party in the evening) but so happy! i looooove this picture of us.

this is one one of my ABSOLUTE favorite photos ever of all time. oh man, i loved this day. vince and i both took a day off work to just hang out and decided to go up in to the mountains. it ended up being a super rainy fall day, but we just had fun. on our way back down through the canyon, vince indulged me in a mini photo shoot with autumn leaves as our backdrop. we pulled out the tripod and camera, set them up and then shot about a billionty pictures. i always had poses for us -- but this one, this one was all vince. i can't even remember now what happened, but this photo was an accident. a glimpse of 100% real life. vince making me laugh so hard. i always feel the most beautiful when vince gets me laughing. and now i have a photograph of it. i will always cherish this photo.

vince says this is my indian picture (i am an 1/32 native american, afterall). i was in my beloved moab. this was actually my first time down there (although, i'm sure we went as a family when i was little, but i don't think we ever did any hikes or anything) and we had just gotten to delicate arch. also, loooong hair! those were the days...

this was me on closing night of les miserable back in 2002 as i was about to take my final bow. oh man, the memories!! i felt so proud of myself for accomplishing something like this and that roll was a dream (although, it was a super exhausting roll as well). i will always love eponine and les mis and i feel like that shows in my face in this shot. (also, please note: tiny waist and arms! oh to be 18...)

i have a bunch like this, and i love them all (this is just the most recent). i love being with my girls and they always make me smile. not much more to say about it than that!
