2014 sunday family photos

i've never been one who is great at finishing projects i set out to do. last year on the first saturday of the year i decided i wanted to attempt to take a picture of my little family every sunday. and i am really proud of myself because i stuck to it pretty well. now, what i didn't do very well was put them up on the blog. oops! so, here are most of the pictures, i know i'm missing a few that i did take and then there were a few weeks i didn't get a picture on sunday too. you can see the rest here, here, here, and here that i actually did post.

sunday pictures, round 2

to vince's dismay, we made it through 2014 with getting a family picture on most sundays! i've yet to post most of those (i've really sucked at blogging, so, yeah), but thought i'd try to start posting this years photos!

sunday photo catch up - february and march

2/6/14 >> we had just returned home from our trip to las vegas to see my friend natasha, which was our first trip away from scout. we basically smothered her when we picked her up, we missed her so much!

2/16/14 >> we had vince's family over for a soup bowl dinner at our place! it was fun and we tried out a copy-cat recipe for our favorite zupa's soup -- wisconsin cauliflower soup!

after church, we watched the first episode of the new season of Sherlock (so good!). i highly recommend the show to anyone looking for something to watch. by the time it ended, it wasn't long before we had to be leaving to head out to vince's parents house for dinner... and so we ran out of time to get a photo from my real camera... so a quick snap with the phone on the way out the door had to do.

also featured in this week's family photo: our new (to us) car! its a 2004 nissan pathfinder and we absolutely love it so far. we knew we wanted to get another small suv-type vehicle since we loved having that with our crv. even though the pathfinder is 10 yrs old, it feels so nice to us. definitely the nicest car we've had! welcome to the family pathfinder!

sunday family photos 02/52 and 03/52

it has become very clear that getting a decent picture with Scout in it is going to be a difficult task. i found my remote so we will have to try that next time to see if that will work better, but it has been pretty entertaining in the meantime to try and get her to cooperate. last sunday it snowed, so i wanted to try to get a picture outside, scout wanted none of it! haha! oh well.

we had stake conference this morning, and so we had all afternoon to hangout and it was a really great one. i read, vince worked on some homework, and scouty snoozed. we had some soft sunday music playing, and the sun shining through ... it was just a really nice afternoon.

i sure love my little family.

sunday family photos 01/52

i decided on a whim yesterday afternoon that i wanted to attempt a new project this year: every sunday, we'd take a family photo. our first attempt at it was... well, entertaining. its pretty difficult to get a dog to cooperate for a photo. we ended up having to use the flash -- which i hate -- because we were losing daylight and with scouty not understanding the concept of sitting still, it had to be done. so, my first sunday family photo of 2014 isn't the best. but it makes me smile when i look at it and i guess that is the whole idea behind this project. 

the ones on the right are outtakes courtesy of vince while i was trying to set up the camera and wrangle the dog. i sure love that guy.
