oops.
i've seemed to neglect this little space of mine on the internet for the last few months (3, to be exact). it wasn't my intention to be gone so long. it wasn't my intention actually to be gone at all. i just wasn't feeling it, i couldn't find the words and honestly, i didn't want to force anything.
i do miss this space. i miss writing. i miss documenting our life! in may, my blog turned ten. TEN! ten years ago i started this blog. in may i wrote this (with the intention of posting it here, but then never got around to it):
so, ten years ago TODAY i started this blog. TEN YEARS AGO! it is kind of blowing my mind.
this blog has been a place for me to come and record the big and little things in my life.
i welcomed home a missionary, dated him, then broke it off.
met vince, dated him, and got married!
we've been through countless jobs and one internship.
lived in an apartment, a house, an apartment, and now a house again.
we went to mexico on our honeymoon, went to california and vegas a bunch of times, went to georgia, and went camping all over the state of utah.
had many game nights, date nights, and late nights.
took selfies, pictures of my outfits, of nature, of about anything and everything, and then about one bajillion pictures of vince and i together.
so, here are some things we have been up to in the last little while!
- in february, i got a promotion at work! it has been challenging and interesting and i actually really love it. it came as a surprise, too! i had interviewed for the position, but wasn't chosen. then, a few weeks later my manager asked if she could talk to me privately (yikes!!) where she told me that another opening for that same position was becoming available and they wanted to offer it to me. i was shocked! but happily accepted of course, and am really enjoying it.
- in march i saw one of my all time faaaaavorite singers, Joshua Radin, in concert for the 2nd time. it was awesome. and then, this month (june) i got to see one of my other all time faaaaavorite singers, Ingrid Michaelson, in concert. and holy wow, she was incredible. it was such a fun show!
- scout turned 2 in april! i can't believe she's already two! we love her still so much. we are constantly saying how much we love her and that we just think (almost) everything she does is the cutest thing EVER. i don't think we will ever think otherwise, she's our fur-baby for sure. yes, we realize we are obsessed with her. that's the first step.
- vince finished out one of his last semesters of school, and finished his senior project! yay! he is taking the summer off (the first time in about 8 or 9 years) and then fall he will take 2 classes and will graduate in DECEMBER! it will definitely be a party when that happens! it's been nice to have him more available this summer, i have loved having my husband back!
- speaking of scout, she's had some adventures in the last few months! mostly injuries (ugh!). in may she had a sore on her leg that she ended up having to wear the cone of shame while it was healing. she HATED that thing. it was really sad, as soon as we put it on her, her entire countenance changed! she just seemed so sad! although, it did help her keep of trouble though!

- in april we met with our new doctor, a fertility specialist that we were referred to by my OB. we love her, she has been really great so far.
- over memorial day weekend, our family of 3 went on a trip down to st. george. we were able to find a hotel that allows dogs, which was so fun! we all had so much fun! and at the end of it, i think scout was really confused why we weren't then not spending all waking and sleeping hours together. sorry pup, we wish we didn't have to go to work too!
- i went blonde! and i'm loving it!
- just this last weekend, i went on a girls weekend trip and had such a great time. i'm still recovering from it :) we laughed and laughed, danced everywhere, stayed up way too late, swam a lot, sweated a lot (hello 113 degrees!) and talked and talked and talked about everything. my girls are really just the best.
lots of other things have happened, but i guess that's the highlights!
