following in others footsteps (and more for journaling purposes), here is a short recap of our 2013...
JANUARY
we moved in to my parents house the very first week of january
had to shovel snow way too often
went up to park city with mara & jae during Sundance
FEBRUARY
got our concealed carry permits
welcomed a new baby nephew in to the family
MARCH
super fun moab trip with the greens, titensors, and deardens. vince and i still talk about this trip all the time and just how much fun we had. lets do it again, shall we friends?!
vince ran the moab half marathon
went prom dress shopping with my oldest niece (whaaaaat? thats weird.)
APRIL
vince's first time as the grill master... which started a fun summer of bbqing it up!
locked ourselves out of the house and had to climb in through an open window
my friend kelsey got married!
held my first ever clothing swap with friends!
MAY
began really writting in depth about our infertility experiences
took a trip to georgia where we surprised my sister and got to meet her new baby
vince ran another half marathon (this time the big cottonwood half)
meet the liter of puppies where we would eventually pick out our scouty girl and visited them every other week until we were able to bring her home
ran a 5k with my sister camilla, vince, and my brother talmage on memorial day
tackled a lot of yard projects in preparation to bring scout home
JUNE
picked up our scouty girl and brought her home with us!
had a scare where we had to take her to the pet ER one night when she fell off our recliner chair and landed funny on her leg and couldn't walk :(
got hit haaaaard with a major flu bug. vince and i have never been that kind of sick around each other, so that was a first for us both to be puking our guts out (and all of vince's family too... fun times!)
on national running day vince ran a route that spelled out the word RUN
took lots of walks and park trips with our little pup
wached vince's sister compete in the miss utah pagaent
had family pictures taken by the fabulous jen herem
JULY
celebrated vince's 29th birthday
vince built scout a dog house
he also ran another half marathon
took scout up to pineview reservoir and found out she loves to swim!
AUGUST
instead of going to my 10 year high school reunion, we held our own friend reunion instead and had a fun evening with all my besties + their spouses and kiddos
went camping with the greens and titensors up to the unitas where we fished a lot and enjoyed a break from the heat of summer
SEPTEMBER
my uncle david passed away after battling cancer
vince ran his first marathon! he also injured his foot this same month, so he had to stop running for a while after his marathon
OCTOBER
celebrated my 29th birthday
went to a u of u football game vs ucla with the oveson family
saw my favorite singer, joshua radin, in concert and then got to meet him after the show!
carved pumpkins with our friend racine and her husband tony
welcomed new nephew baby Ammon in to the family and my best girl mara welcomed her little Gracie Jane in to the world too (a good month for fresh lil' babies!)
did a few family photography sessions
NOVEMBER
celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary
went to dinner with vince's parents and then to see Brian Stokes Mitchell perform as an anniversary date
met john stockton and got his autograph
DECEMBER
went to my work christmas party where i won a new dslr camera
did our 3rd annual sushi + temple square lights night with the buddies
saw the forgotten carols
spent lots of time with family
i got called to be the 2nd councilor in the young woman's organization in our ward
i'm sure i'm forgetting things, but oh well! scout was by far our favorite thing that happened in 2013.
